I have the new navigation dvd. version 7.1. I put it in and started my car, but the "i agree" is still there. So I unplugged the power to the dvd drive, plugged it back, and turned the car back on, it says updating system but the screen flashes blank and the bar never proceeds. and then it flashes back to the same updating screen. help! is the disk bad? whats the proper way to put in the new navigation dvd?

    Thanks

You may have a bad disk. All I did was put the car in IG-ON, eject the old disk (ver 6.1), then insert the new disk (ver 7.1). The NAV updated and the "I Agree" screen changed to a screen that warns you not get distracted by starting at the screen while driving. After 3 sec or so, it then changes to the map.

just found out my friend who let me borrow the dvd had a "special" copy. He said it used to be an original 7.1 disc but burned a new copy, replaced a file to make the OS the old 5.1, to be able to get around the speed lockout. So thats why it crashes when it tries to update. Doh
