A little over a week ago, I bought my first Prius, Blizzard Pearl with Beige interior. My son had a 2005 Prius and currently has a 2015 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) that I have driven occasionally. I have been a Priuschat lurker, especially watching the Gen 4 threads as they have developed. The Firebrid thread has been interesting too. For US east coast users, I believe "Toyota Sam" Lee at Miller Toyota in Manassas VA is the best dealer. Although I drove 150 miles for my car, I saved $2000 off my local dealer's quote. BTW, Sam Lee at Miller still drives a 1st Gen Prius. He really goes the extra mile for his customers.
I drove the 150 miles to test drive & possibly purchase the Prius. Sam spent over 30 minutes with the car demonstrating the features before we even test drove the car. That is how a Prius should be sold!
Now, there is a little over 300 miles on the car. My wife & son will be driving it from Virginia to Michigan & back. The next time I see the car after they leave tomorrow, it will have almost 2000 miles on it. I am slightly nervous for some reason...
We also purchased our 2012 hatchback new for about $20,800 from Miller Toyota in Manassas, although not from Sam. We had the services for the first 36,000 miles done there as well as a frame replacement done on a 2002 Tundra for free (recall), so no complaints. Good luck on your new ride! Ps, I would be nervous also as I like to drive gently during the break-in period.
You need to get Sam Lee to post pictures of his Gen 1 Prius in here!! Come on now! Thats gotta be awesome!!
I saw a dark green one around here several years ago. I believe @bwilson4web had one a few years ago.
