My 2007 Touring model (240K mi) was running really bad and gave my first ever red triangle. I limped into the local Toyota dealer in Joplin, MO which I dislike but had no choice. Turns out my fuel injectors had failed. They told me 2 were leaking and washing the lubricant barrier off the cylinder walls. The other 2 were partially blocked with carbon. $1400 later my car was running like new but still showing the cat converter code. That's when I went for the new non-OEM unit in Crane and got $200 in the process(I know the math on the rare earth metals). I have almost 1200 miles on the new injectors and have not burned a drop of oil and that includes rapid driving on very hilly Ozark mountain roads. I am very happy and plan to put a new set of Ecopias on next week to, hopefully get another 2-3 years out of the car.
Glad to hear it’s running good, but my lord! They sure charged you a lot. my 2004 was running a little rough, so I decided to change the injectors myself. Got a used, but cleaned set of oem Toyota injectors for $35. Runs great, getting 49 mpg!
