I turned on the fan today and it sounded like a leaf may have worked its way through the filter to the fan housing. The noise decreases as the fan speed increases and is noticably louder on the low setting. It goes away completely when the fan is turned off. It sounds as if it is coming from the passenger footwell. Any suggestions on how to get to the housing to check this out? The noise is distracting in my quiet ride. Thank you for your help.
Follow the filter-cleaning steps to remove the lower glovebox and pull the filter tray out, and then you can see in to the squirrel-cage fan through the slot and probably be able to pick whatever it is out of there. . _H*
