Trying to get used to the new console and I'm having a hard time finding a place to put my phone. I usually like to leave it in a location where I can see it. Could you all tell me your favorite spot?
I either just put it on the front seat or down in the area by the seat warmers and 12V. I also have a 2012 four, congrats!
The iOttie One Touch 2. I have tried 5 other mounts for the past 8 years and concluded this one is the best (for me at least). The suction cup sticks to literally ANY surface and the snap-on feature makes it easy to mount and dismount with just 1 hand. I liked it so much, I bought my parents and fiance one as well. Might want to check this thread for more answers. Hope I was able to help!
I realize this is flippant, but I just leave mine in my belt holster. If it rings it's on the Bluetooth, all good. My only beef: that it seems to be impossible to have two phones automatically picked up on the Bluetooth, say if one or the other rings. My wife and I split the driving, both phones are "registered", but only one at a time will work.
Great ideas! Thank you all. Mendel Leisk you may be right. In my old car (TDI Sportwagen) the bluetooth never worked correctly so I always had to have my phone handy. I appreciate the suggestions for the mounts as well. I will check those out if I do eventually need a better solution.
I've been using a CD mounted phone holder for a while...I actually just switched to a magnetic style one and I love it even more. I got it on Amazon for pretty cheap, search B01933Q120 if you wanna look at it. The previous one I had, the tightener was on the bottom and blocked a bit of the radio screen but this one is above it. I went with the magnetic one because the new Galaxy S7 put the power button a lot lower on the side, was weary but it holds great. Only downside with it is when I have it plugged in it sits vertical due to the pull of the wire.
