I have a 2010 Prius and I have 2 family members and a friend that bought a 2012. Does the 2012 have a larger tank or is the distance to empty more accurate? My 2010 always read a DTE of about 450 miles after I fill up. Both 2012s say about 520 miles. What's going on here?
Same size tank for 2010, 2011 and 2012. Maybe as they put more miles on and the car has more data to adjust the dte calculation, it will go down or up. It's calculated based on the mpg's you have been getting. In the end, it's an estimate.
