    Hi everyone....

Just bought my first Prius about 3 weeks ago.

If I bring my Prius through the carwash ( I use DeltaSonic....they do not use brushes) do I need to unscrew the antenna before going through the car wash?

    thanks

If nothing in the car wash can bend the antennae you are probably OK. Probably OK even with regular car wash but they do insist on taking the antennae off.

I got one of the shark fin antennae so I don't have to bother with it. Now if I can just get them to stop taping the rear windshield wiper, I could make a clean getaway.

Another advantage of the "shark fin" is that it will not snag on a car cover.

More importantly, the reception is equal to the OEM antenna.

The seal on the antenna is supposed to keep moisture out of the connector. If it corrodes, it tends to mess with the reception. If it gets really corroded, you will have really poor reception!
Leave it on, or insist the Car Wash blow compressed air in the antenna screw in socket, and get that moisture out of there!

Do you have a Prius v wagon? Your info says solar roof which which I didn't think was available on the v wagon.
