I cannot get techstream mini vci to work . I loaded CD files to desktop folder, launched techstream, copied mainmenu.exe and pasted in tech stream file location, but my computer with win 7 and run in XP mode won't accept pasted file of mainmenu.exe, it does not ask if I want to replace existing file, it just launches tech stream, asking for auth' code. When code pasted in, it just asks for the code again. When I open mainmenu.exe file, it says. 'Program can't start because IT3Versatile.DLL is missing from my computer. Any insight on how to resolve error?
Did you follow the install instructions that came on the CD? Did you run the Techstream installer program?
Yes, yes Well I got a Chinese video instructions that looks similar to YouTube English instructions for v12.20.024
I'm not sure that running in XP mode 32-bit will work. Is your cable 32-bit or 64-bit? What did your seller say about whether it can be installed on Win x 64-bit? I would try one of these options: Buy a cheap laptop running XP and use it to install TS. Try and install it as a 64-bit install and forget about trying XP mode. Use a instructions here: Techstream install on 64 bit O.S. Windows 7/8/10. There are a few different sites that you can try, if that doesn't work. Just do a Google search. ^4-bit installs work better when the cable is 64-bit compatible. Install a virtual machine on you current laptop and install Win XP in it and then install your TS in it. Hope that helps.
