Need a little help here... Strange noise

    Hello and thanks in advance!

    Setting at a traffic light, ICE not running, ac off, radio off and there is a mechanical sound coming from what seems to be the drivers side dashboard area. Almost sounds like an intermittent motor running.

    Very disturbing...

    Your thoughts??

    It is my high mileage 2005 Prius. I have tried to record but was not too useful. I will try again.

    If it is periodic buzzing sound, it may be the ABS actuator.

    It is not the ABS I know that buzz well.
