Anyone within driving distance from Asheville (NC, SC, Tenn, etc.) with a 2016-2018 Two or Three interested in exchanging their spare tire and cargo floorboard setup with my 2016 Four?

If unfamiliar, the 2 Eco, Four, Five, and Touring models replace the spare with a self-inflating tire sealant kit. Benefits include less weight and a several extra inches in the cargo area.

I'm trying to build up the cargo floor for camping.

    Thanks in advance!

Welcome to PriusChat. You're not alone, seeking a donut spare to replace the standard sealant kit.

There should be several threads on this, although I couldn't find them at the moment. I made several phone calls to salvage yards (they DON'T stock the foam bits...crazy, cause they're ridiculously expensive!) scored the appropriate foam floor from a salvage yard 200 miles away, sourced a spare tire elsewhere. Be careful, IIRC, certain model years changed the shape of the foam pieces.

Others will post, for sure. We're a friendly bunch!

I have a 2017 Two and there is no way I would give up my spare tire! That is part of the reason I bought the Two. The Three was too much more expensive fir the slight benefits.

You can find local used parts at car-part.com. I had to make several phone calls to various salvage yards until I found one that actually kept the foam parts from a crashed vehicle.
Crazy. You can buy them new, but it's over $400!!!

    Thanks, all.

Yep, I've been calling around and reaching out on several used parts search platforms, but no luck so far. Hence the Hail Mary here.

    The search continues.

I just remembered an important point about searching on car-part. Since they don't list "trunk" parts, I searched for "trunk hatch", thinking that if they have a vehicle with an intact trunk hatch, the floor foam parts are probably intact. I then phoned those closest to me, found what I wanted in Houston.
    ...just a thought...
