2005 with red triangle problem with factory navigation. If I disconnect 12v battery terminals will I lose navigation program? Do not have navigation disk to re-install. Anyone know where avaiable? Car has 96K starts and after about 30 sec Red triangle appears. Haven't got DTC yet Inverter pump working MFD says replace 12v battery. THANKS
My understanding is that the navigation system mostly resides on the DVD disk in the player under the driver's seat. The navi disk doesn't go into the music CD player at all. IF you didn't have a disk, you would not have navigation at all. Also, no one mentions loosing memory points when changing out the 12 v battery so I don't think you need be concerned at all about navigation while servicing your low voltage battery. Even if I'm mistaken about some of this, you may at least get another response now.
