OK - please bear with me 'cause it's my birthday today, so I'm entitled to ask a few dumb questions (it's my gift to myself )

On my PIP advanced, I want to permanently transfer my contacts from my iPhone to the phonebook, but apparently every time either me or my significant other get in the car, it synchs again. The info isn't permanently stored. Is there an easy way, short of hand-entering each entry, to permanently store the contact info?

Next dumb question: do we have a definitive answer about navigating from our contacts in the phonebook? When my PIP synchs to my iPhone contacts, it only synchs the phone number, not the address, so, therefore, no navigation.

Thanks for indulging me...oh, and answers would be appreciated as well!

    Because people don't the answer?

I think that with car A/V systems in general, the contact list is transferred every time the car is started. You can have several phones paired with the car, so it has to load the list from whichever phone is connected right now.

Concerning contact list addresses, I don't think that the iPhone connectivity supports that. I am not sure about Blackberry and Android phones, which seem to have richer phone connectivity than iPhones.

Yes the iPhone can do it, but your contacts have to be formatted I believe with Street, Avenue, Circle etc... all spelled out instead of the shorthand form to get it to sync. At least this is what i've heard I believe. As for the storing of them, i'm not sure, i've not taken the time to format all my addresses correctly to try it out.

Hey Jozo -- sorry for the delay in responding to you. The solution to contact address issue with nav & iPhone is on page 12 here http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-c-main-forum/106290-entune-horrible.html

Oh and I remember coming across the setting for syncing the iPhone address book each time you plug it in. You can turn that off you know... I have a huge address book, so I only manually re-sync mine.
