I've tried searching and can't find the answer. Is there a way to see the approaching next street with the Prius GPS Nav system? Most cheaper handheld units do this.
Yes it displays the street you are on. That is not what I want. I want to see the next upcoming cross street.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rest @ Feb 7 2007, 11:12 PM) </div> Yes you are correct. This nav is not as good as a cheaper gps like Garmin.
I'm not sure since I just got my car, but dont you have to select that Icon that shows the exits on the highway or no? are you just talking about the general gps screen and not when its in guidance mode?
There's a good NAV System DVD file online which provides a lot of information. Follow this link: http://www.toyota-eshowroom.com/consumer/T...toyota_nav.html This plays a lot better with a high-speed internet connection. I find street names adequate at the 300' scale.
I'm thinking that even @ 300' display, the next street won't necessarily display if it' just a little 2 lane jobbie that you are approaching. However, if you TOUCH the screen on that street ... it WILL display it's name up on the header of the display.
