If so, it works with lead/acid batteries with liquid electrolyte.

Our 12v battery is an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery and our traction battery is a NmH battery.

I did some more google search...

ABS Alaskan states that it's safe for AGM batteries.

I don't think sulfation is a problem with NiMH batteries.

OK, now what does it cost vs the cost of a new battery and how much life will it add to an AGM battery? I don't have those answers.

 

desulphering a battery is really only for a deep Cycle battery. what it does is cause the electrolight to actually turn to a gas and bubble to get some of the sulfide back into the electrolight. in a solar system this is a monthly practice to keep the batteries in a good state. as for a car battery i dont think it would ever be a problem unless you regularly drain the battery (ie once a week) save your money.

 

Relating the effects of desulphation to "improved mileage" is a long
shot, but I suppose if your electrics are generally working better
given a good battery behind them, a car's general operational
efficiency may be a little better. And no, it has nothing to do
with NiMH hybrid batteries -- this is only talking about lead-acid
chemistry, the 12V system.

Hobbit, I thought that this was a way to sent pulses to and electric AC motor so you could control its speed. It there a product out there like that with the same name?
