My mom had her air filter replaced, the technician also repaired the defroster fan - later I noticed this plastic piece left in the car, and I was wondering if anyone knows where it is supposed to go. Thanks.

Is there a part number on the back?

Thanks. The back of the piece doesn't have any marking.

It looks like something that's on display, part of the dash for example. Nothing appears missing? I know stupid question, still there's an outside chance it's from some other car, just fell out of mechanic's pocket. Or, some new part came with a new bezel, but it wasn't required? Check around the repair area, everything looks complete?

Any way it would be a tech tool to slap over a button so it stays depressed while working?

Curious also as to what year vehicle

Is this for a PRIME? If so which year and trim? That information would help a lot. Your profile is showing Vehicle 2002 Prius, but it's your Mom's car.
