After 2 months of keeping my 2010 Prius III stock, I couldn't resist spending some of the bucks I've save on gas. I've attached pics of the wood dash kit, chrome grill strips, mirrors in fog light recess and the one that has other Prius owners do a double take....dual exhaust tip extention. Why not have fun while being green and thrifty!

Really nice! That's not too much of a good thing, there, and it's a great color.

The dual exhaust makes me laugh, however :pound:

I like the chrome strips on the grill, where you get those? Dual exhaust tips will have folks doing a double take, nice touch...

Not if they dip their headlights. I think they are convex mirrors anyway so only a small amount of light will be reflected toward the driver. Have you seen the ugly chrome grills on American cars lately?

psch.. grille... try chrome bumper on an F-series truck!

Nice. I like the wood design and the trim pieces along the centre console lid.

The chrome grille is a nice touch too!

Nice interior kit! Please let me know which seller you bought it from. I've seen that grill on Ebay as well.

This is the wood dash company kit I installed. I'd give you the full link but newbies as I can't post them yet. Many of them looked alike from various companys web pages. I have seen the ones installed that look like wood grained "shelf paper", an embarassment. I've used this composit before with sucess. I installed a real wood overlay in my Miata but it cracked after a few years. This company offers a 35 piece kit (mine) and a larger one. They have 2 grades. Mine is the one that supposedly has real wood impregneted. I question their claim as it's amazingly flexible but it still looks fine to me. The lesser kit went for about $150 and mine was the $207 kit. Oddly enough I was asking them a question about the flexibility via their live "on line" Q&A person. During the discussion the person asked if I'd like a better price and obviously I replied ....Sure. They gave it to me for$187 including freight. If you're going to install one , email me for some insights....you only get one chance on lining up some of the pieces. Tips will be valuable.

    Good Luck!

Yes, I did get the "grill kit" from ebay....$30 delivered. Save your money because it the same chrome edge flexi plastic door trim that you can buy at Pep Boys or walmart. Even the fact that it was supposedly cut to size was innacurate. I copuld have done a better job measuring and cutting with the 15feet you get for 1/2 the price at a auto parts store. It does need some extra adhesive at the end pieces as the heat kills the "stiction".

    Good luck!

While you chose a wood a couple of shades lighter than I prefer, it does look QUITE nice!! Not sure about the twin exhaust tips though, but hey, if you like it, thumbs up!!! The little fog lite mirrors threw me at first, but it works!!
    NICE PICS!:D

It's been years since I've seen any solid or laminated pure wood kits for newer cars including the Prius. The biggest problem with real wood is all the contours that most dashes have now. My old British sports cars usually had flat surfaces that allowed aftermarket companies to accomidate. I realize the dash has a "slick" look but it's really not too much different than what's in most "Limited" cars. New cars with the factory composite laminate surely look better as they have more of an inlay look vs the overlay.

The wood sections of my kit are about 2X the thickness of a matchbook cover....probably about the same depth as a factory wood look on a new car. It's many grades above the "sticker" grade I've seen offered. Again......it's a fun frill.
    Good Luck!

I have seen molded dash kits for other cars. They are still plastic but are pre-molded to fit the surface contours. IIRC, they are advertised as 3d instead of 2d by some companies.

I like the level of finish on yours, even if my tastes run more toward carbon fiber trim on a modern car and I'm going to hold out for molded parts, which means I may never get a dash kit.

Yes, the molded dash kits are only 6 pieces (2 for the center dash and 4 for the window controls) and they only come in 2 colors.
But they look like a factory option...
We have 2 Prius', one Bisque interior and the other is dark gray.
I took a few pics of the dash in both cars, but they are in the parking garage so they are not very good. The wood dash looks a bit too orange in the pics and the grey one looks too dark, but you get the idea.

Does anyone know if the "sticker" dash kits can be custom ordered by pieces? I would love to get the center console strips for my car (the ones under the sliding armrest pad)
