My roadside emergency kits

    Since the Prime does not have the spare tire,
    below is list of tools I have for roadside emergency kits:

    1. 1/2" impact wrench adapter for the scissor jack. With the adapter, one can use the impact wrench to drive the jack, $9

    2. 12v impact wrench. This will drive the jack & wheel lug nut. $44


    3. Tire repair kit: $15


    4. 12v pump, this is the old one come from Slime emergency kit. One can get 12v one online for like $20.

    The impact wrench is now under the driver seat, pump is under passenger seat, and the tire repair kit is stuck in the trunk little compartment.

    No more worry about getting flat tire!!!!

    The thing about scissor jack is alot times when you pull over to change tire is the the surface may not be hard/level. When you are cranking the car up, i'm not crazy about the stability of the jack. I like to use low profile floor jack but hard to find a small light weight one that dosen't take up room/weight. But so far have the tire plug kit along with the slime pump that comes with the car. [​IMG]

    For soft/unstable ground, a scrap of plywood is good.

    no offence, but just hand cranking the scissor jack works. It is a piece of junk, but you get there.

    a cumbersome floor jack is way more of a handful, and doesn’t roll at all, on aforementioned soft/unstable ground. Also, if you’re just pulled over on shoulder, with a floor jack you’ll be further out into traffic.

    I was gonna ask this someplace else - but this looks like a good place.

    The manual of our 2017 (3) mentions an optional "safety kit" (I think) that there's a rectangular cutout in the foam spare tire cover.

    Does anybody know of one that actually fits that cutout???
