While on a long drive today, a mother of a truck spat out the biggest meatball of a rock at my hood. This time the paint on the hood was not only chipped in three places, but the hood was also dented. I realize that for a rock to dent the hood there's no way it could not chip the paint, but why is it that the paint seems to chip more frequently on my Prius than on other cars?! After applying some touch up paint to the new chips, I noticed another couple of spots that were also chipped away by airborne road crap. I've had the car less than 4 months and already I'm considering getting the hood repainted. :x :cussing:

Could the angle of the hood cause debris to hit at just the right angle to chip the paint more frequently? Just a thought.

Yeah, I think so. I need a Prius bubble to travel around in.

    8) It sounds almost like driving behind those logging trucks with no mudflaps.

Time to leave more space between vehicles! Let those in a big hurry pass and catch the rocks for you. :)
