Not sure how to copy the story from an email I received, but the story on a lithium prototype certainly intriques me. I'd love to get 125 miles per gallon. I hope my copy and paste gives enough info to find the story

    Go to http://www.gizmag.com/go/7327/

    and read about:
May 25, 2007 Lithium Technology Corporation (LTC) yesterday unveiled a retrofitted Toyota Prius,
with plug-in capabilities allowing for 125+ miles per gallon fuel efficiency, which is powered by the
    Company’s unique battery technology . . .

Casey, There are many companies starting to design plug-in hybrids. EnergyCS, hybrids=plus and hymotion to name the 3 leaders. The calcars.org site started the push for this great design and others are picking it up. Even Toyota , FORD and GM are working on similar desins.
Just as interesting is the fact that Toyota plans to put lithium batteries in it's 2008 generation III hybrid prius. It still won't have a plug but can get 90 mpg becuase of the lither batteries and more energy they carry.
The next year or 2 will be very interesting. By the way you have to have a full hybrid design to take advantage of the plug-in features. Only Toyota has that type of design. The continue to out sell all otheres 3 to 1 and lead the world.
