I recently posted the video on my youtube channel Wonderful Wandering Topics. I have four other ones there on the 2016 and one road trip with the Prius. I just filmed another road trip but it might take a week or two to edit it. This one on visibility should be able to be viewed right here, if not reply to let me know.

That's quite different from mine - mine has moving guidelines - the example below shows that I'm about to drive into the garden!!

Mine doesn't beep - I told them I wouldn't buy the car if they didn't turn it off. Along with activating the remote window open/close.

The backup guide lines can be customised on the UK models, in the vehicle setup on the Nav screen. We have the moving one above, one with fixed pair crossed curved lines that shows where the car will go on full lock and one with a simple bar across.

Yes, there are some other options, but I found this was the best for general use.

Does anyone know offhand if the US models have the option to select curvy guidelines? Mine are fixed and I'd like the curvy ones! I'll have to check the user manual to see if it is available. But if anyone knows offhand, let me know!

An earlier thread determined that the US model does not have the ability to use the moving lines. My Avalon has them and they certainly would be an improvement.
Seems likely that it is software controlled and is just Toyota's choice to differentiate.

I hope that you all know that the rear headrests can be folded down for better visibility (If there are no rear seat passengers and you care to turn around when backing up).

I show how to fold down the headrest in my video. Thanks for mentioning it again.

I thought I remember the thread that mentions the US does not have that option. But I will stop by the dealer this week and try to confirm.

Thanks for bringing up that other countries have the option to have moving guidelines. I should include that statement at least in the video discription and see if I can add it to the video with youtube edits.

The beeping can be turned off by the dealer or by people that have a special app and a bluetooth or wifi module that attaches to the car somewhere under the dashboard. The app is either free or low cost but the module costs more. There are several posts about the app called Carista and what you can do with it.

Carista app works fine with my cheap (£4 ($5.29 US) off Ebay), bluetooth OBD module, no need to buy the expensive ones.
