We have had our 2010 Prius 88 days and 5110 miles,
We bought our first Prius in 2001.
Since new the 2010’s mpg has been 52.5 and we have average 34 mph.:cheer2:
It was time to change the oil and other services.

My plan was to jack up the front put stands under each side the use the floor jack to raise the back for rotating tires.
The Prius was too low for my aluminum floor jack to fit under the front.
So I had to cut 3 (1 for each stand and 1 for the jack) 2x4’s with slots and jack up one side at the time and put a stand under it.
I was able to get the jack under the back.

First the oil, it took me a while to figure out what had to open, it is just a small panel in the back not the whole bottom. To open it there are 2 small clips easily removed and a larger clip I could not get out without breaking the head off. When reinstalling I just put a sheet metal screw down the center of the clip where the broken plastic pin was. :)There are holes that line up so you can reinstall one of the small clips to hold the panel open and out of your way.
It takes a 14 mm wrench or socket to remove the oil drain and a 64 mm oil filter wrench.
One advantage to the 0w20 is it really drains out fast and it doesn’t drip forever.:)
Same putting the new oil in drains fast.:)

I pulled the wheel covers off easily by hand and removed the tires/wheels.
Once the tires are removed all requested inspections are easy to carry out.:)
I check balance on all the tires and for the first time ever on a new car all tires were still in balance and no problems. :)The prius uses an odd weight clip-on inside and stick-on outside.
Put the wheel back on and torqued to 76 foot lbs.
I put the wheel covers back on by hand without any tools.
I check air pressure in all tires and took the Prius off the jack and stands.
I cleaned up, reset tire pressure warning, reset service reminder, cleared the service needed message and told it to never remind me to contact Kenny Kent for service.

All and all it took about and hour.
