    My TSLA holdings:
    • $247 - 37% sold
    • $241 - 27% sold
    • pending - 18%
Tesla still has good potential but not quite the "cash cow" in the past. Truthfully, Elon's recent mercurial behavior has me concerned.

Time to "pass the torch." He has plenty of privately owned companies to play with ... but not with my money.

Now smile when you calculate the % gain compared to the S&P for the life of your holdings.

i only have about $7,500. in it. a 50% gain in 6 months or so, i'll leave it there just for kicks, but musk worries me as well.
i used to think tesla couldn't survive without him, and i doubt his public behavior has much affect on the company. still, he does make you wonder

I went to "Investor Relations" to see the Robotaxi presentation and all I see are CGI visuals and 'hammer dulcimer' tunes. "Investor Relations" claims I had to go to Twitter/X to see the presentation. IMHO, Uber is safe.

I've been skeptical of Robotaxi economics. Why sell a Tesla car to me when you can just make all your cars into Robotaxi and eliminate "the middle man," ME.

Someone is going to get a great buy on all but the last 18% of my TSLA stock on Friday. There is a realistic probability that Friday will see TSLA trading suspended:

The Nasdaq halts trading for a variety of reasons, including:
    • News pending
The company has pending news that could affect the security's price. This gives market participants time to assess the news.
    • Regulatory developments
The security may not meet the market's listing standards.
    • Extraordinary market activity
The Nasdaq determines that the activity could have a material effect on the market.
    • Price band
The stock's price moves to a price band and doesn't move back within 15 seconds.Trading in the stock then pauses for five minutes.
Trading halts are temporary and usually last less than an hour. Securities exchanges, like the Nasdaq, are self-regulatory organizations (SROs) that have the authority to develop and enforce their own rules and standards.

Just as I posted, Elon came on and the show began. Being late and wasting my time does not bode well for my confidence.

Ok, I like the new vehicles but neither my 2019 Model 3 nor 2017 BMW i3-REx need replacing. The self-driving bus solves a lot of school and city bus labor costs and could revive city-to-city transportation. Airport shuttle service too. As for the rest, I'm 74 years old and time to "pass the torch" to the next early adopters.

While waiting for the Thursday program, it was nearly an hour late, I put another 18% for sale at market price, $214 this morning. So now I have a Capital Gains problem.

I am negotiating a proposal for home solar:
    house_proposal_02.jpeg
The initial proposal, $54,000, is well within reach but I've asked for a starter system, in the green box. I have two shade trees to remove before going whole house.

The proposed PowerWall does not have "grid free" (promised in Elon time,) but that small white box in the southeast corner is a 16 kW, automatic, natural gas fueled, emergency power generator. By putting the PowerWall on the house side, the generator will spoof the grid. The generator costs ~$0.45/kWh so the solar roof system will reduce the generator load to a minimum and I'll be effectively "grid free."

No, I won't be selling my electrons to the power company. Instead, I will run a 15 A, weather proof, external power box to my neighbor's property. They'll have free access to my excess power and I'll suggest a holiday dinner invitation once a year.

ps. I'm holding my last 18% until after the Q3 report.
