I have a 2007 with nav and in the radio screen bottom right there is a place with "'msg'. It never is lite so I can't access it but my friends is lite and it will show different features. Anyone know why this won't work and how to fix it? Thanks Falcon3
You touch it and it just displays a message if the radio station you are listening to has a message to be read. I never even bothered with it when I had my 2006, mostly useless messages anyways lol

I don't know about gen II, but in my 2010 it's ironic (read idiotic) that the MSG is locked out while driving. You get a six line message telling you it's unsafe for you to view the one line message while driving.
Can you say, O X Y M O R O N! Sure ya can, I knew you could! Sometimes you gotta wonder what the hell Toyota is thinking... If the point is not to distract you, why flash a message saying you can't read the message....think about it!!!
