    Ha, the Prius is anything but "new" these days. Tell her that it's been around for over 15 years and is very well proven.

    If I drove a perfectly good running car like that Corolla, you wouldn't be able to convince me to buy a Prius.

    I traded a perfectly good Honda Civic only because CA was offering solo HOV decals. Otherwise, I'd be afraid to spend "new" money on a depreciating asset.

    Find her a black pearl Prius with air conditioning that works. Recover from the fact that she had the 1998 Corolla you found her fixed because the 'egg wasn't cracked' and it deserved to stay on the road. Help her sell the black pearl Corolla you found for her. Most importantly....talk to her!! :p

    Let her borrow yours for a week and let her get to see that the new technology doesn't interfere with normal driving.
