MP3_Folders_Navigation

    Hi All,

    I've purchased a 2018 Prius Prime recently and want to listen to the songs using the USB drive.

    The issue is that the Songs will not goto the NEXT folder automatically at the end of the song in the current folder. i've to Manually goto the next folder to listen to the songs in the next folder.

    Is there any setting that i'm missing or this is how it works for Prius PRime.

    That's how the prime works. :(

    Another gotcha is you cannot have more than 255 files in a single folder and expect them to show up.

    My 2010 Gen 3 Prius did better at playing USB drives.

    Yeah, PRIME's USB player sucks big time. I have all of my songs stored into folder by artist name. Many of my songs files are missing tags. so only way to know the artist is by folder name. I think I have close to 500 folders in my USB drive. The biggest complaint I have is the inability to scroll down more than a few screen while drive. I have very old ipod I still have some songs in it. It seems to work much better than USB drive and gives more control on the head unit, but I have not explored it in depth yet.

    A usb stick that worked fine in my previous car never gets beyond "cataloging" in my new 2019 Prime. I agree it sucks.

    Mine works well enough. My usb thumb drive file folders are organized by artist, then album within the artist folder. All are properly ID tagged. I've got no problems with finding an artist, album, song name... It would be nice if it had voice search though.
