If you have the JBL system, it does. It's great- it's like having a 60-disc changer. Even though I listen to my iPod in my Prius, I still keep discs with MP3s on them in the car.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(larkinmj @ May 16 2007, 07:59 PM) </div> Does that work the same in the 2005 model? I've got a '05 with a 6-disc changer and the JBL logo on the thing.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(OwenKealy @ May 18 2007, 11:43 PM) </div> nope, 06+ only
I have an 07 Touring that came with Package 2 plus a CD changer - the changer that Toyota lists as an option for $589 MSRP. So I have the non-JBL 6-speaker system plus a 6-CD changer. Would this be the same changer that comes with the JBL system? Can it play MP3s? It didn't work with one MP3 disc I tried, but that might have been a bad one...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mmoncur @ May 26 2007, 09:11 PM) </div> You can't get the Touring with a non-JBL 6-disc changer. Unless you have an external 6-disc changer, so you have a single CD in the front and the 6-disc changer elsewhere. If that's the case then no, you don't have MP3 playback.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Vagabond @ May 27 2007, 12:15 AM) </div> It's an external CD changer in the "drawer" under the regular stereo. And you're right, no MP3 playback after trying a few. My main CD player plays MP3 discs of course, so that's good enough for me. Thanks.
Does this mean I can't install a DICE unit along with this external CD changer? I'll probably take it out if that's the case... <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mmoncur @ May 27 2007, 12:54 AM) </div>
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mmoncur @ May 27 2007, 09:20 PM) </div> You'd have to use the DICE kit in SAT mode, so just as long as you don't plan on adding XM or Sirius, you can keep the CD changer and use a DICE.
