MP3 CDR's and CDRW's

    I'm waiting to hear from my Credit Union to order a Prius.

    Does the CD player/changer handle CDR's and CDRW's? And will it handle CD's burned with MP3 audio files? I would like to burn MP3 CDs that have large collections on them.

    Haven't tested the MP3 capabilities, but there's no info about support for MP3 or WMA cds unfortunately.

    It does work fine with CDR's though, also takes advantage of CD Text if you incorporate that into your cds.

    The factory units do not play MP3s (or WMAs) unfortuantely. If you don't get the 6CD Changer (or are willing to remove it?), you can likely hook up an aftermarket unit that does play them.

    There have also been a number of threads about hooking up MP3 players to the Prius (mostly about the iPod) though.

    I really wish Toyota had included a unit that had an aux input or at very least that could play MP3s.
