Motor noise upon 2010 SKS unlock?

    Whenever I unlock the door (I use the driver's side SKS sensor) on my 2010 model III, I get a motor noise. What is that?! Sounds like it's coming from the side mirrors, but I think that might be an illusion.

    On the Prius, most pumps that are often dependent on the gas engine are electric.

    What you are hearing is the brake pump, building up pressure, ready for you to use the brakes.

    You can also hear it by pumping the brake pedal while stopped.

    Yes! That's the other time I hear it. At a fulls stop with the engine off, if I step deeply on the brake, this swervy warning light comes on and I hear the motor.
