Many people refuse to read owners' manuals, especially when faced
with a large daunting one like the 2010 OM. But if you dig in
and go through it, you'll find some great pictures like this...

I've been through the manuals once cover to cover. Time for a trip through just looking at the pictures. :p

I agree, TFM should be the first place to look before you post.

That is hillarious!!! That is my favorite picture, too. My wife and I drove the Prius to Miami this past weekend and on the road we were going through the manual and came across that one. :)

From other cars, this a funny one too:

That warning is there for very good reason though!
Back when we bought our current car, we parked it for the first time in the covered garage area. The roof is a bit low so we were checking out whether it would open without hitting. It opened all the way with no problems...

And then my husband decided to slam it down and close it, without bothering to check if I was out of the way or even give any indication that he was going to shut the thing.

It ripped the front of my nose off. Seriously. We had to rush to the hospital gushing blood in the brand new car. :D

The nose healed beautifully by the way, only a tiny line where if you look closely. My husband didn`t, and now is constantly in a state of panic when it comes to closing the back. He will check 4 or 5 times in a row that everyone is far far away.
So yes, beware of having the back closed on you!!! It can REALLY hurt.

How 'bout this as a takeoff on it... with FOUR high-speed data
busses, several new and faster ECUs, and cameras fore and aft
supported by numerous other sensors, when the 2010 Prius attains
self-aware intelligence it will begin to realize which is the
    inferior species.

SO what you're saying is that the picture might not be an accident but rather the demise of the human race.

    and so it begins.

When I was younger, that would really bug me. No longer, I actually make a damn good living off other folks - especially government workers! - refusing to RTFM. It's entirely possible the current budget deficit is just my billable hours!

So, you're supposed to flee in terror? At least that's what the pictogram looks like

Of course, you're *assuming* that was an accident. Did he take out a rather large life insurance policy on you before the "accident?"

If I were you, I'd avoid the hatch area at all costs. And tell your husband that Jay, the guy who is built like a gorilla, is angry with him

"I'm sorry Dave, I can't let you do that"

I've had enough freakish episodes with BACNet to believe it, too

    BACNet = :sick:

Here again with have a case of being told to read, while the pictures get all the attention. Sounds like an issue of Playboy.....
