Yup. InsideEVs had an article a couple weeks ago that talked about how Tesla approaches manufacturing. They tend to want to make manufacturing improvements quickly and send out cars as fast as they can. That sometimes leads to issues in which the assemblers aren’t as familiar with the changes and make mistakes that need to be corrected after people take ownership of the cars. The article said there were just over 400 Model Ys affected, which means this was an issue for less than a week of production before it got fixed. The affected Model Xs, on the other hand, show something was missed for a long time that they recently caught, so they’re doing a recall, just like other recalls by other car companies.

For the safety of Tesla owners I am glad that Tesla is doing the right thing and having a recall. Yes recalls happen to all manufacturers, so this is nothing new. But I would be more concern on what other items maybe lurking that have yet to be discovered, do to Tesla’s expedited building process to meet quarterly sale goals.

Stock nearly hit $600 today . . . . someone better try & troll harder for more negative articles depicting FUD of all sorts (never mind if all cars experience similar issues). Maybe it's working in reverse! The more FUD, the more sales!
Sorry if that's extremely frustrating. With the irritable bowel issue you mentioned having ... maybe stop worrying & stressing so much about Tesla success & give up trying so hard to slow their success down ... & hopefully your digestive movements may return to normal.
In the mean time ... maybe put a towel down before you drive anywhere
