We've been thinking about adding the EV switch to our Prius, and also about replacing the roof with a roof that has solar panels on it.

Does anyone know what these things would do to the warranty?

    Thanks

No accessory added to your car will void your warranty unless Toyota can prove that your addition damaged the car. Since Toyota sells the Prius with a factory installed EV switch in the rest of the world, and the actual circuitry is built in except for the switch, you're probably pretty safe there. Likewise, unless you reversed the polarity and burned up an ECU or the inverter, a solar panel would be safe. But if you destroy an ECU or inverter, you get to pay for it. Besides, what would the solar panel charge? The only battery readily available for external charging is the 12V one, and you don't need to cover your roof with solar panels to trickle-charge that.
