    That site seems kind of useless. I'm going to go get my 1985 VW Golf diesel and drive that from now on and it's not on the list.

    Also selecting "compact car" seems to remove all electric vehicles from the list except for the Mini Cooper, and it doesn't qualify for the federal tax credit. I don't see how it's practically the cheapest car on the list if it's over $30,000.

    While it factors in depreciation, does it also include lost "income" because of the higher acquisition cost? As a cash buyer, that interests me.

    Shows a Rav4 hybrid much cheaper than a long range MY. About 30% more emissions over a vehicle lifetime.
