Hello! I tried to find the 'read this' file:

"Why don't I get the EPA Mileage?" by efusco

But it comes up 'page not found'

Also has anyone codified their method of obtaining 50+MPB?

Try mpg and then check Search Titles Only. That will narrow it some.

My wife gets 44-46 average paying no attention to how she drives but drive fairly conservatively.

I get 50 by going mostly the speed limit on 45-55 mph roads, ok maybe 60 on some, and slowing sooner when coming to a stop sign/light.

My son averages 60 by never going over 50, always slowing sooner, whenever in a 45 zone goes 42 or slower to allow all electric until the ICE kicks back on then accelerates back up to the speed limit until the HV batteries are recharged then slows again. He never turns on Max Heat and waits for the engine to warm up on the road before turning on any heat, and has the air in the tires at 42-40. He does listen to the stereo and pays attention to what conditions result in more or less real time mpg readings on the MFD.
