Mini VCI Diagnostic Screen how to get in-depth description

I have a quick question regarding the Toyota Techstream Software and the MINI VCI connector.

    First the details:

    2006 Toyota Prius with SKS.
    Toyota Techstream Version 12.20.024
MINI VCI : DIAGKING Mini Vci J2534 (got it from Amazon)

This is regarding the Diagnostic Code Screen.

I have notice that in some of the videos of people using TIS Toyota Techstream, they get a fault code and an in depth description ie: "HV Battery Block #4 becomes weak" (not actual description:) ) etc.

My version of the MINI VCI only gives me a fault code and a generic description ie: "HV Battery pack need to be replaced" (not actual description:) )

See sample image below (not actual code that I am getting, just for reference)

    I notice this when I got a P0A80 code.

Why is this? Is it because the MINI VCI connector that I have doesn't communicate in depth with the ECU?

Should I buy a different MINI VCI ? recommendations?

Or is the model of the car?

    Thanks!

You see more on the screen for the particular ECU with the code than you see on the overall health check results screen. But still, it's no better than a fortune-cookie description of the code. You get the best information by just taking the five-character code straight to the repair manual and looking it up there.

I believe it is the model year. Your image on the left is from a 2015 vehicle. If a sub code exists you can view it by clicking on the blue snowflake icon.
