If a cluster is changed ,what will display as far as mileage? Also check engine light on old cluster. Is all info within computer or cluster?
It will probably display the mileage stored in the car's main ECU. All info should be within the computer/ECU not the cluster, which is just a display by itself.
The odometer reading is stored within the combination meter ECU (which is what I believe you are calling the "cluster".) If you replace that with a used part, the odometer reading will be based upon whatever was stored in the used part. If the engine ECU has logged DTC, the check engine light will appear.

I believe that the combination meter ECU is the same as what you are calling the cluster, and that it is not possible to separate the ECU from the display.
