    Toyota officially calls it the Multi-display...but somehow MFD has become the accepted terminology.

    MFD is just better: when working normally it's one display with multiple functions, not multiple displays; and when it stops working MFD takes on another meaning.

    The MF stands for "Multi-Function?"

    I thought it stood for Mother. . . <shut yer mouth>
