This may have been discussed way back in the day, but I did a search and didn't find anything. So... I've noticed that if I have the dimmer wheel dialed up to maximum brightness before the detent that puts the mfd back to regular daytime brightness (hope this makes sense), in about the next minute and a half after I turn the headlights on, the mfd dims to roughly half the original brightness. Has anyone else noticed this? And if so, is it a feature or a bug?
If I understand correctly, it's a feature. Diverging a bit now ... one thread I started maybe early 2005 was MFD pre-dawn cold morning startups. It was especially noticeable in the cold scenerio that it took a while before the screen built up to its expected brightness. Some helpful PC'er set me straight that the behavior was normal.
