    Greetings,
I have been driving alot at dusk and dawn and have turned my MFD to Day with the headlights on. Now, I can't get it back to night with the headlights on.

I read in the book that this configuration gets put into memory.

My ideal is to have it on Day display most times, except when it's actually fully dark and I want it on night.

    Help, please.

Turn lights on, make sure that the panel rheostat is not on fully bright, press display button on mfd surround, on mfd press "day mode" to toggle between day and night modes.

If the lights are off or the rheostat is at max, the day button is hidden.

Think of this chain of events:
The taillight selects day or night mode.
If in night mode, the rheostat can override the dash to day mode.
If the dash is in night mode, the MFD can override to day mode.
Overrides only work if the controlling source is already in night mode. You can't force the dash into night mode, but since it is mechanical, you can change the override while the car is in day mode.
But since the MFD is electronic, you can't change the override on it, if the dash is in day mode.

Is this possible in a model without navigation? I don't have a "DAY" mode button.

The Day button displays only when the lights are on. Turn the on lights and push the Display button on the side of the MFD. The button will appear near the middle of the top of the display. I have seen it on cars without the navigation system.
