I'm having some trouble. Last night I bought some xenon bulbs for my prius II because my driver side bulb went out. The driver side went in perfectly, but the passenger side was an absolute nightmare, two hours and two people couldn't solve it, so I left the bulb in the housing a bit crooked.

I got out of the car after driving it and saw the passenger side Headlamp Assembly smoking, I pulled the bulb and it was smoldering with white marshmallowy looking plastic on it.

I've tried putting the original bulb back in, but still no luck. I'm thinking my only shot of getting the bulb in is to swing it through a dealership. If they say I need to get a new headlight assembly, what is the best site to buy it from or should I go to a junk yard? I live in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I am really, REALLY in a bind here because I am getting married next month and I rely on my car for Uber and my full time job. I have to great this stuff done as cheaply and as quickly as possible.

Junk yard, ebay are viable options if you don't want to get bent over by the dealership parts department.

Next time, remove the 10mm hex bolt holding the intake hose and move the intake hose and bracket out of the way. That will give you room to install the low beam bulb on the passenger side.

I looked up headlights in the Repair Manual, have attached the relative section. Man I go into a slow boil, reading the crap involved. There's likely some shortcuts, ie: maybe you don't have to remove the front bumper and the headlight assembly. But for what it's worth:
