Going through the Arby's drive-through and the driver's front tire squished a packet of something, mayonnaise I think. I was PISSED. We drove straight home and I immediately set out washing the car. First I rinsed the entire car and then got some soap in a bucket and using my washing sponge, lathered the Prius up. Rinsed the Prius several times and it looks like all evidence of the condiment (mayonnaise or horse-radish sauce). There is no residue on the glass (it got a lot of places) and I am hopeful the paint is clean as well. Just be careful going through drive-through services. No telling if the employees or a previous customer was butter fingered.
Yeah it sucks when you get stuff on the car for the first time, but much worse things will be spilled/splash on it. Right now I have some bird crap right on the hood, I should probably get it washed soon.
That's nothing. Wait until you get the type of mayonnaise that actually causes damage (bird droppings).
I will swap you the mayonnaise for a block of wood that hit my Prius at 4:45am this morning on the freeway driving to work any day lol. Came flying of another car in front of me. Either hit my bonnet or headlight lucky for me no damage seen this arvo
I took out a windshield following a dump truck on I-35 on our 1998 Honda Civic. I saw it coming and could do nothing to avoid it. That ran me over $500 to replace.
Mayo? You got off light. Just wait a little bit. As you read this, some car door or shopping cart is drawing a bead on one of your side panels. It sux, but the only way to avoid it is for you to not drive the car.....and what fun is that? Good Luck!!! I hope you never get dinged or scratched...but I'm not optimistic about that.
I'll see your mayo and raise you a punctured bumper from a shopping cart, a keying on the front left fender and a Hyundai Elantra imprint on the front bumper. Grumble grumble...
