    Hello all -

The Master window control for the rear driver window does not work. All other windows operate fine from the master controller.

Also, the rear driver window does work when operated from the rear driver control.

I did buy a NEW master window controller and tested that - it did not resolve. Same issue persisted even with the new controller.

Any ideas on what the issue is?

Sounds like wiring from the master to the rear window control

Since neither switch will operate that rear drivers side window; you got to check signal, power, and physical jam. Check the door jam first for pinched or broken wires. then you'll need to pull off the door card to check your internals. Your window motor may have died.

    Good Luck....

Sorry this may not have been clear.
The rear switch does operate the window just fine. Only the front switch does not.

Sorry, misread it. Someone else here had a similar issue with their their passenger door window. The master control switch interface somehow lost contact with just that door. He had to run the car through some sort of relearn cycle, if I recall correctly. It was a couple of months ago, after he replaced his 12V battery.

    Hope this helps....

I kinda had this problem -- rear switch passenger's widow worked fine. From drivers master control, could put window down but not up.

There are relearn steps on the Internet that didn't work for me. Replace front switch fixed it.

Until the fix, small piece of tape kept me from accidentally putting the window down, since I'd have to go to the rear passenger window to put it back up.

In my experience, the window switches rarely fails without help..... I usually find sticky stuff down there (soda or drink spilled into it). That stuff usually slowly eats away at the circuit board etching or gum up the mechanical switches. A few times, there was signs of liquid intrusion, not sticky - but that was enough to cause intermittent operations. I could only assume the window was left partially down during rain storms.
