    I have a 2012 Prius v 5. At about 70K miles.

Was wondering if there's any correlation between the Maintenance Required Indicator Light and fuel economy.

My light came on at a 7500 mile interval I believe to indicate I'm due for an oil change. I usually wait till around 10k interval to do the job. Oddly enough, when the light came on, I noticed avg MPG dropped from around 42 to 35 or so. Anyone?

    Thanks!

No obvious correlation unless delayed response to the MRI triggers 'drag' on the hybrid system. Doubtful, but what a scandal that would be...

nope. start with your tyres pressure, air filter and 12v battery. the main. reminder is every 5k from the last reset. your o/m shows the actual maint. required every 5k.
