    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone who bought the maintenance plan for their Gen 3's before they bumped up the Oil change to 10k has asked for a refund or extension.

It seems to me that - I payed for expensive unused oil and the idea of changing it every 5k just because I can seems not only wasteful, but bad for the environment.

The Toyota letter confirming the extension of the OCI to 10K explained that those that had purchased maintenance agreements would get an extension to allow for the longer OCI's.

The maintenance agreement that I purchased was based on a 5K OCI up to 30K. The number of oil changes on mine would remain the same but the final interval would be at 60K rather than 30K. That is if I chose to extend to the 10K OCI. I have chosen to stay with the 5K OCI since I want to continue rotating my tires at 5K intervals.

Once I complete the 30K maintenance agreement and start doing the OCI's myself, I will determine then whether I want to stay with 5K or move up to the 10K.

Most used oil is recycled so why is that bad for the environment.

Didn't know they recycled it! Good to know and glad to hear it.

I didn't get that letter for whatever reason, but thank you for sharing it.
