So I cleaned my motorcycle helmet with the dry eraser from the dollar general and thought well it did a great job of getting the scoffs off of my front visor maybe it can bring my headlights back from the fog. I tried it today ladies and gentleman and I must say it really got my headlights looking really new again along with a few paint marks from cars rubbing. Try it yourself and let me know if it improved your headlights?

I haven't heard that before myself, but from what I've read and seen online about restoring cloudy plastic headlights is you sand off the top "dirty" layer to reveal fresh clear plastic below. Then the most important step is to apply some sort of UV coating otherwise they will get faded / foggy even faster without any protection from UV.

Some info and close up microscope views here:

I got the 3M products on Amazon and they did a great job. Very cheap with a little elbow grease (and a drill) and they look great.

Magic Eraser is abrasive; I’d test it out on something less expensive before diving in on a headlight.

Mother's Aluminum polish and a soft buffing wheel for a drill, 5 minutes each headlamp....

Do NOT use a magic eraser on your paint... it scratches up the clear coat (don't ask how I know;)

I was able to get rid of them with a lot of polish and elbow grease...

I also used car polish on my headlights (in a non- critical section) and it appeared to work. waiting to see what they look like after 6 months, but so far so good.

Mothers won't hurt the paint, that's what the guy in the video said. It didn't hurt mine either.
I didn't get a lot on it though, just the edges. You could tape it up if you wanted to be cautious.
It has been 5 months since I mine and they are just starting to show some fading. And they've been
    in the sun a lot.
Next time I clean them I'll use the Meguiar's Headlight Coating on them and that's supposed to last a year.
I'm happy with the 6 months though, for 10-15 minutes of work...

That was a very interesting video thank you for tagging the link. It was actually making me consider doing that in addition to my Magic eraser tactic which has worked even for my motorcycle helmet making it look like new again.
