So over the winter I managed to scrape the belly on some hard-packed snow. Ever since I have heard a faint but noticeable clanging of metal-on-metal while driving. I had deduced it was something loose under the car because I only hear it when going over a bump or when the engine is running while stationary. Because of the 'engine running' bit I thought it must be near the exhaust system.

Well, today it was warm enough to squeeze under the car and discover...

Looks like the heat shield. Anyone know how it's normally attached at the back, or have ideas to get it back up above the exhaust instead of resting on it? In a week or so I'll be able to get the car up on a ramp and take a closer look...
