Lisle #54930; the "perfect fit" inexpensive oil filter cartridge cap wrench.

    It fits "perfectly," and that's my image loaded on Amazon.com

    At $6.45 delivered, it's less than half the cost of the Assenmacher TOY-640.


    I have an extra oil filter cap to test the cap wrenches. The "Performance" branded ones at Advance Auto are too small.


    This one fits perfectly. Enjoy!

    Interesting . . . others have tried 65 mm end-cap wrenches and had problems.

    The Assenmacher is 64 mm and fits perfectly, without quotes.

    You should be able to get the Toyota tool cheaper that I did. There is also one made by Assenmacher that people have reported as working good. AST - Oil Funnels, Specialty Application and Automotive Tools by Assenmacher - Tools for Audi, VW, Mercedes, BMW, Ford, GM, Subaru, Honda, Mini, Saab, Toyota, Lexus and More

    I have both the Assenmacher and the Lisle.

    I've used Lisle tools for over 50 years. They are good. While the Assenmacher is good and may be better for the technician, who uses it day after day, and who has the 15/16 or 24mm socket, the Lisle is more suited for most home uswers, who do their own work. All he or she would need is a 3/8 inch ratchet to use it.

    The threads in the "die cast" oil pump adapter and the "injection molded" filtler cap are precisely the same in every case. I've seen several photos of the cap correctly torqued, and have checked my own on my 1.8L Prius "v."

    When correctly tightened, the molded in word "open" in one of the recesses of the cap should past the bottom metal clip to be aligned within the next recess with no lettering

    I'll have to have my boyfriend look this over to see which will work best for us. Um stupid question but do ramps work for this task?
