They all do. The lights are dim and are not adjustable.

I used to think mine were too dim, but now I can read them just fine. I suspect it has to do with knowing the layout.

This is the kind of thing that makes wonder about Toyota sometimes. For all the effort they put into making sure the car is designed and built well, when I drove mine at night the first time i thought "Why are these steering wheel lights so dim and how do you adjust them?" One model year I can understand, but after that is irritating. <_<

I mounted two small LEDs in front and two in the rear, using extension plugs that run off the front under dash outlet, in order to add some ambient light to the interior. Your comment about the steering wheel lights is well taken, but the whole interior of the car at night is like a bad tavern with a single small TV over the bar as the only source of illumination. My partner's Jetta has a gorgeous red and blue lit interior, maybe a bit overdone, but preferable to the Prius cave. A few little lights adds a lot. And, by the way, you'll get used to the dim lights on the steering wheel and it'll be fine.

Thank you for all the information. I will get used to it all soon, I'm sure. Just thought I was nuts or something because I couldn't find the switch.
