I keep a spreadsheet on the vehicles. I just got the Prius in March so I thought I would start a comparsion of gas/costs between the Liberty which the Prius replaced. The Jeep for its first year starts in July, and the Prius starts in March(with a two week 1700 mile trip)..here is what is looks like so far...easy on the wallet and great to drive! With about 1/7th the cost for gas in just the first year, that's amazing. Wish I had done mine with my Rodeo and Prius. Probably would have looked a lot like your chart, except for the last year. Being a delivery person in a Rodeo eats up a ton of gas.
Looks good! Just out of curiosity, what's the cost-per-mile for each car? I'd love to see that comparison!
That title is kind of misleading, it includes, repair, excise tax, anything I buy for the car. MA excise tax was $400 plus and registration$80 , which came in about two weeks ago! No repairs on this car at this time.

I included insurance, modifications, purchase cost, maint, and gas in my comparison. I was amazed to learn that it costs about $25 a day to own a Prius, let alone a big gas guzzler.
Yes, insurance...just got it: $1107 for the Prius, and the Jeep was $977, so it went up $130; MASS. has hight insurance, but that might change soon. Prius $25/day, where is that info? Yikes! The Liberty after having if for 2088 days was only costing $12.77/day.
