    Years ago (2007), Lexus discovered that their 2006 RX SUV hybrid had bad hardware, that caused tire alignment issues. We never got the TSB. Lexus never notified us about it (but we ALWAYS get our service reminders) ... and so we wasted a LOT of tread over the years (over $1,000 to replace tires). Even after we discovered the TSB on our own, and the part was replaced ... our 400h STILL pulls to the right. It ain't cheep to do a 4 wheel alignment, only to STILL have the issue (sigh)

    Next - inverter coolant control board. Another TSB. (Toyota) Lexus has known about it for years, and finally sent out notes to RX and Hyhi owners. In short (and in so many words) they state,
    we ain't got enough parts to fix it - so just keep driving and we'll get back to you ... and watch your warning lights because it might be THIS problem.
    That notice was over a year ago ... and after lots and lots of phone calls to the dealer - we're still waiting for our turn for our fix.

    Now it's 2012, and we've got our THIRD TSB with no fix in sight. Crankshaft pulley (other makes/models too). It seems it may come apart ... and if it does ... that could cause a loss of power steering - making our 400h hard to control, which could possibly increase the risk of a crash. Same conclusion here, meaning once again (paraphrased);
    we got no parts (hea hea) so don't call us ... we'll call you - whenever we can get to it

    So now - our tire wearing, and maybe over heating hybrid, can possibly become hard to steer, as the crank pulley flies apart.

    You gotta laugh - trying to reconcile so many "quality" and "luxury" commercials put forth - matched against reality. After all the hub-bub about unintended/stuck accelerator issues that got spotlighted, I though the company would really jump on stuff like this. On the one hand, we'd like to install PHEV kit ... but on the other hand, the unresolved TSB's are stacking up.
    I wonder - what if an over temp light came on - and the owner was too busy worrying about loosing steering control to notice ... so they just kept driving & driving until the inverter burned up ... I wonder how much that would cost the manufacturer. ;)
    End of rant.

    Interesting... seems to be a hit or miss with Lexus service? I've heard pretty good things about Lexus USA.

    have you called Lexus Customer Satisfaction yet? 1-800-255-3987

    try a different Lexus dealer, if you have recalls, you are allowed to leave it and get a loaner car till the parts are in stock, which the INVERTER issue is a RECALL, not a TSB (technical service bulletin). All 3 you mentioned are indeed RECALLS... In fact, the technician needs to check your inverter to see if its required for replacement because some do not need to be. They also will check the hybrid cooling system as they may need to change its coolant...

    keep us posted...Lexus is pretty good at taking care of its customers, so lets see what happens in your case!
