Was looking for a universal spoiler & came across this one with an LED built in. Let the testing begin.

Tucking the brake wire was not possible without drilling so popped the trunk lid off entirely & made a small hole. Fished the wire through & silicone around it.

Needed to decide if I was going to tap into the 3rd brake light or tail light so took sample pics.

Attaching to the 3rd brake light seemed the safest as it would over light the factory light.

One more snag, placement...Towards the rear, like most spoilers
20200726_125004.jpg or closer to the window to hide the red gap. 20200726_125024.jpg

Went with hiding the gap & the light reflects off the factory brake lense a little. Tucked the wire everyplace possible then added silicone to hold it better as I didn't want to make a visible hole.

Tucked the wire along the oem brake lense. Does not stick out or risk getting ripped. 20200727_165642.jpeg 20200727_165647.jpeg 20200727_165654.jpeg 20200727_165807.jpeg 20200727_165821.jpeg

I like the idea of a "better" brake light...
Anyway possible to add led lights into the entire length of the existing red plasic housing?

    SM-G973U ?

That has been my thought since seeing the Primes. The whole brake light assembly would need to come out which looked easy enough but didn't feel like messing with this round. Would have to squeeze a red led strip behind or under the third brake light panel unless you want to open the housing. If this spoiler burns out that'll be my next attempt to enhance the brakes.
